The Mud Run Guide Crew covers the sport from every angle: As a Survivor you will have to conquer whatever obstacles get in your way and test your all around toughness, strength, stamina, fitness, and mental determination.
Upon your victory you will have earned your place in the Survivor world. Unreal how disappointing this was when you re ready for the obstacles shown on the website. Someone was asleep at the wheel. Nothing but mud bogs and no creative "obstacles". My other daughter and I compared it to the one in May in Shasta County that had a ton of obstacles, vendors, several food trucks, admission included a T-shirt, etc.
The big pkg lot with no chairs, one food truck, oh, and water bottle? More like a 6 oz water bag I was so disappointed and felt ripped off. The website was deceiving and the 3 of us will NOT go back. I ve ran many races. This was the worst one I have ever seen. Talk about the organizers going cheap. No t-shirts. No live music.
Frankly no obstacles other than some mud pits dug by a tractor. No water slide into the lake. No monkey bars over pits, no tire obstacles no ropes course no entry into the Lake Elsinore diamond, this was A Race where the organizers just pocketed the cash and did not deliver. Very disappointed after running this race many times. And what did I get for finishing? A cheap 50 Cent Stamped Out aluminum plate that looks like dog tags that says Survivor on it. I don t think Survivor will be around much longer.
What a joke. I want my money back. Someone should file a class action for false advertising. Wow, after running close to 30 mud runs in the past, this was by far the worse one yet. Where were the obstacles? Just mud hole but mostly water in it. No way you can even come close to losing your shoes in the pits. Website advertised all kind s of obstacles but none were there except mud pits.
Says you get a medal but what you actually get is a small little dog tag on a chain. Only one food vendor and a crappy DJ with a very low budget set up. There is no after party. Line for beer was so long that we didn t want 2 wait for it. Never again will do this run. No volunteers watching each section. No tables to chill at anywhere. The metal got smaller then 2 years ago. Dog tag this year! Lay time we do Survivor. I would give it 0 stars if possible. The obstacles were a joke.
The one main obstacles wall climb had a 15 min line. This race is for kids my 9 year old could have easily finished it or beginners that are looking to start out or just do something fun it really wasn t any fun. Let me start with the good: Like literally heats of people waiting on line for of the obstacles. The main climbing wall as an example used the wrong kind of rope so your means up and down was this slick rope that had zero grip. I gripped it with everything I had and I can climb ropes no problem and I slid down the line like it was nothing.
So if you got hurt or had a problem, perception was that you were SOL I ve run a ton of these events and it would not have been hard for Survivor to hit the ball out of the park here This run was a disappointment. The only obstacles were small mud pits dug out throughout the course and a big slide. I would NOT do this run again.
An overview of the tragedy
It rained and hailed on Friday in Arizona, pretty much all day, so needless to say our mud run was much muddier than anticipated. The mud was deeper and wetter and lots of people lost their shoes and socks and ran it barefoot. It was also freezing outside, and the clouds threatened more rain the entire time we were running. But it was a blast! Trying to run up steep muddy hills with no place to dig your feet in is challenging! Our finish time was somewhere just over an hour — not a fast 5k, but you try running through mud pretty much the entire time, and waiting for people to finish an obstacle so you can try it!

A few early access games have also made the cut, though only those that could halt development today and still be worth playing. Getting started in Rust can be a bit of a pain in the arse. Playing solo, the vast majority of your interactions with other players will be aggressive, belying the fact that forging alliances and cooperating is the best way to protect yourself. Working together, players can create fortified towns, surrounding them with automated turrets and traps, and from there try to dominate the server. The competition creates predators and prey, which can lead to highly imbalanced fights, but that makes it all the more satisfying when you start fighting back and winning. We need your help to make this a reality! See a video featuring Mr. By the morning of May 31, , there was water in the streets. Business people were moving their wares to the upper stories of their buildings. Families moved furnishings and supplies they would need to wait out the deluge. Johnstown had been built into a river valley on the Appalachian Plateau. The Little Conemaugh and the Stony Creek Rivers, which ran along the peripheral of the town and merged to form the Conemaugh River at the western end, drained a square mile watershed which dropped in the rivers from mountains feet above. Some of these floods were caused when heavy snows melted too quickly in the spring. And others, at any season of the year, when a heavy rain fell over the area. Whichever, floods were a fact of life to the nineteenth century resident of this industrial community in southwestern Pennsylvania. And, in the late afternoon of May 31, , people were gathered in the upper stories of their homes, waiting out the worst of it, just as they had done many times before. Even as the residents of Johnstown prepared for their long wait, activity at the South Fork dam, just 14 miles above the city was frantic. Click here for more information about the club and the dam; a list of club members is also available there. Officials there feared the dam would fail.
